ALSIM, a premium class French company engaged in design, development and production of state-of-the-art simulators and flight training systems, presents its most innovative device to date. The company has combined its 27 years of experience and the best of its technology to create a unique jet simulator fully designed for MCC and APS MCC training.

The ALSIM Airliner has been primarily and entirely thought for pedagogical purposes and meets Competency Based Training (CBT) standards as outlined by ICAO.

After more than 27 years designing and manufacturing training simulators in collaboration with training and aviation professionals, ALSIM has observed that a significant number of candidates are failing to meet the required standards necessary to advance their future airline career. The aeronautical requirements are also increasingly demanding, and MCC/APS MCC is now an essential part of aviation training.

Convinced that training in convertible simulators is more beneficial for APS MCC students to acquire the necessary skills and meet the CBT fundamentals (such as leadership, teamwork, decision-making, communication, workload management…), the Airliner is the result of Alsim’s search for the best innovative training concept.

It is an hybrid and versatile simulator (Fly-by-wire/Conventional control) designed to address medium to large ATOs’ need for advanced MCC, APS MCC, JOC, LOFT and UPRT training. The simulator is capable of representing different single aisle aircraft, such as the B737MAX, A320, A220, E190-E2 or the SSJ100.

Its generic flight model is based on the same requirements as Full Flight Simulators Level D and provides the latest technology available in modern aircraft.

It will allow a training organization to load up to 40 EASA credit hours.

The main purpose of the Airliner is obviously to act as an educational tool to help flight schools stand out in providing an enhanced training. But it also aims to respond to the needs of Airlines, as tests preparation and assessment are among the many capabilities of this new device as well.

The Airliner develops a new and different approach to bring the next generation in MCC and APS MCC training, as Captain Luis explains: “As an Airbus A330 Type Rating Instructor for TAP Air Portugal with more than 17,000 hours, I consider the ALSIM Airliner as the perfect tool for any ATO to prepare future generation of pilots for the increasingly challenging environment of modern Airlines. It is the best of both worlds, allowing ATOs to provide quality training in a versatile environment, allowing trainees to be familiar with both Boeing and Airbus automation systems. By tailoring their MCC Syllabus with a fantastic tool like this, the ATOs will provide future pilots with the required skill sets to give them a clear advantage when applying for their future jobs.”

ALSIM Co-founder and president, Jean-Paul Monnin adds:

“We are extremely proud and humbled to support our customers and partners. We remain committed to our ongoing mission to develop and continuously improve flight simulators to enable the most efficient, and effective, flight and training experience possible.”

Located near the city of Nantes in west France, the company has locations in France, the US and China to serve growing number of global customers.
